March 14– 15, 2016
Along with the 2016 Joint Meeting of the NC & VA AFS Chapters, the 2016 Southeast Atlantic Slope Mollusk and Virginia Atlantic Slope Mollusk Recovery Groups will be sharing The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, VA.
Comfort Suites Danville
The “official” hotel for the conference is the Comfort Inn and Suites of Danville (100 Tower Drive, Danville 24540 ; 434-793-2000). A block of rooms is being held under “VA Chapter AFS”. The cost will be $85/night (plus tax) with a room choice of 2 double beds (max 4 in a room) or 1 king (max 2 in a room), with breakfast included.
- The SEASMM/VAS MRG will begin the morning of Monday, March 14th and wrap up at noon Tuesday, March 15th.
- The joint AFS Chapter meeting will begin the afternoon of Tuesday, March 15th with a course in Conservation Genetics led by Dr. Eric Hallerman of Virginia Tech and continue through Thursday March 17th.
